Nobody Wants to Get Moderna Vaccine in Iran

Keyvan Mirzaei said that even if Moderna vaccine was to be imported to Iran today, he doesn’t think that anyone would be willing to have it; “Same conditions exist all over the world because the vaccine is dealing with human lives.”

Radio Goftogoo's "Without Scrawl" program had a phone call interview with Dr. Keyvan Mirzaei, the Iranian political expert, about the contamination of the American vaccines.

Keyvan Mirzaei pointed to Japan's claim that foreign contamination in Moderna vaccines was due to vaccine contamination in Japan itself; “This stand may be due to media pressure, as media warfare has always prevailed over the reality in the world.”

He stated that Moderna vaccine had found lots of customers in different countries; “The spread of contaminated Moderna vaccines in Japan was a bad stroke on the vaccine and its manufacturers. Under such circumstances, the Moderna Inc. needs time to regain the necessary trust.”

“I do not think anyone would be willing to get the Modern vaccine even if it was to be imported to Iran. This situation exists all over the world since when a specific type of vaccine is contaminated, it’s about human life and thus people lose trust in it,” emphasized Mirzayi in his interview with Radio Goftogoo.

“Moderna Inc. reported that contamination happened in Spain while the vials were being filled, and it was only for vaccines shipped to Japan, and nowhere else in the world,” he said. “But apparently this justification wasn’t effective. That is why they have now denied the allegations, and Japan said that its own vaccines have caused contamination.”

Mirzaei said that there may be similar cases of infection in other countries that use the Moderna vaccine; “We know Japan to be an orderly and accountable country, and they could find the source of infection, but the same thing may be happening in underdeveloped countries while nobody is aware of them.”
