Zohrehvand argued that the approach of General Soleimani and that taken by the government are basically two different political and epistemological paradigms; “We can see the effects of each of these two paradigms in guarding national interests and security, and of course in people's livelihood.”
Radio Goftogoo’s "Political Dialogue" had a phone call interview with Dr. Abolfazl Zohrehvand, the Iranian veteran diplomat and the international affairs expert. In this program, Zohrevand discussed General Soleimani's diplomacy, from the battlefield to negotiations.
Zohrevand pointed out the audio file in which Dr. Zarif, Iran’s Foreign Minister, speaks of the duality between diplomacy and battlefield; “Some groups intended to use this audio to generate dualism in the Islamic Republic of Iran, but the fact is that this audio can be used as an opportunity, since Zarif's interview can well indicate the two different approaches existing in the battlefield and in the arena of national security.”
“One of the existing approaches is that of our country's Foreign Minister, and the second is the one with General Soleimani as its vanguard. Therefore, Zarif's audio file provides a great opportunity to highlight the diversities between the two mentioned approaches. Of course, this important issue should be proficiently dealt with, and not in a toxic environment where the enemy media can take advantage of”, he added.
The Iranian veteran diplomat again emphasized that such issues should be proficiently analyzed; “General Soleimani (thoughts and notions) shouldn’t be studied only in the military field, but he also had a strong presence in political and economic diplomacy. The presence of Martyr Soleimani caused more convergence in the region.”
Zohrevand explained about the geopolitical effects of General Soleimani's management in the region; “Martyr Soleimani's management had lots of benefits for the Islamic Republic of Iran as well as for the countries in the region. On the other hand, the absence of Martyr Soleimani has caused problems in the region, i.e. current situation in Afghanistan. This is while the diplomacy mentioned by our Foreign Minister is still present.”
The Iranian international affairs expert argued that the approach of General Soleimani and that taken by the government are basically two different political and epistemological paradigms; “We can see the effects of each of these two paradigms in guarding national interests and security, and of course in people's livelihood.”
Zohrevand continued; “The methods used by the government in recent years in outsourcing national capacities failed to meet the needs of the country, and these methods made people's livelihood even more difficult.”
