According to Radio Goftogoo news site; Janet Farsad, the Iranian engineer and an expert at the Ministry of Health, appeared on the "Social Dialogue" program and spoke about Omicron and the unset restrictions; “People have to accept that the Corona virus is dangerous and people should be prevented from forming gatherings.”

She stressed the need to follow health protocols, wearing a mask and using a high-suction air conditioning system indoors; “People can be successful in fighting the virus if they act quite intelligently and believe that Corona is a pandemic, and a disease that does not go away so easily.”

Farsad continued; “Currently, the situation seems to have improved, but it does not indicate that Corona came to an end. Unfortunately, according to the reports by the provincial universities of medical sciences, the observance of health protocols by the people has greatly decreased.”

*** Omicron is highly dangerous due to its high contingency and spread

In another part of her speech, the expert at the Ministry of Health stated that health protocols were developed two years ago to prevent the corona virus and to control and combat the disease, and emphasized on the observance of protocols by the people; “Health protocols were written based on Intelligent management of restrictions, and injection of the booster dose is part of these protocols, which unfortunately many people have not proceed to inject the booster dose yet.

“The Omicron variant is highly contagious and the speed of transmission is fast, therefore this variant is excessively dangerous since it can involve a large number of people, and the use of masks and social distancing is thus necessary and the 100% observation of protocols is required,” said Farsad.

*** No gatherings until the end of the year

She continued; “In the face of Omicron variant, the Health Center announces that under the current circumstances, any gathering should be prevented until the end of the year, and considering the fact that the Ministry of Health serves as the top observer, this will be reported to the Ministry of Interior and Social Security Deputy, which after a review it’s going to be referred to the Corona headquarters to make a decision on this issue.”
